Federal Transparency in Coverage rules require most health insurers to publish their negotiated in-network rates on a regular schedule. We filter those files to your specialty and area and turn them into a local comparison. Read the methodology

Until 2022, you couldn't. Insurers are now required to publish their negotiated rates, but they publish them as thousands of enormous files. Knowing which files hold your rates, downloading them, and searching them is genuinely hard. Companies have done this work for hospitals and health systems for years. We built SharedRates to do it for solo practitioners like you.

Yes. The data is published under federal mandate and is explicitly intended to be public. We process it and make it readable; we don't reveal anything insurers haven't already disclosed.

No. We don't share who searched for what, and insurers can't see your queries. The data flows one way: from their filings to you.
